BREAKFAST CLUB

Breakfast Club is run by Miss Francis and her team. The staff work within the school and are familiar to the children.

Children are offered a healthy breakfast including cereal, toast and spreads, fresh fruit and juices. 

After children have had their breakfast, there are a range of activities available for them to take part in. There is colouring, board games, role play, construction and then the children go outside to the kickabout for some sports games.

Breakfast Club starts at 7:30am and finishes when school starts, KS1 children are delivered to their classrooms and KS2 children walk themselves before the main gates open.

There is a charge of £5.00 per child per session.

There is a sibling discount of 50p available too, the eldest sibling will be charged £4.50.

Currently (September 2024) Breakfast Club numbers are high, please come to the office to enquire about spaces and collect a registration form.

What is Bugs Club?

The Bugs’ Club aims to provide a happy, stable, secure and fun environment, where parents and carers can feel confident to leave their children and where the children want to stay!

The Bugs’ Club provides after-school and holiday childcare for children who attend Cherbourg Primary School for 4-12 year olds.  The club aims to provide a ‘home from home’ for all those who attend.

During term time, children can be collected from their classrooms.  In the school holidays, children from both near and far are very welcome to join us.

Our well-trained staff have an excellent reputation for meeting the needs of all the children who attend.  If your child has an individual need, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss ways to make Bugs’ Club work for you and your child.

Everyone at Cherbourg is really proud of Bugs’ Club, as they were visited by Ofsted in the summer of 2023 and were inspected as being a good provision. “Children benefit from the well organised day and look forward to activities… They are able to move around freely and easily in the well organised environment. They are happily and purposefully engaged in activities throughout the day.” 

Bugs Club charges are as follows...

£5 - 3.15pm-4.20pm (short session, without food)

£10.50 - 3.15pm-6pm (long session, staying past 4.20pm, with food)

There is a sibling discount of 50p available too, the eldest sibling will be charged £5 for a short session and £10 for a long session.

Payments can be made by cash, childcare vouchers or via SCOPAY, all payments must be paid in advance.

BUGS CLUB HOLIDAY CLUB

Bugs Club holiday club is run by the same staff that run the after school club. We are based in the school hall.

There are a range of activities that run throughout the day. Staff plan fun activities that all children are encouraged to take part in. We have access to the kickabout and also spend time in the adventure playground.

Children need to bring a packed lunch and a drinks bottle, Bugs Club will supply snacks (fresh fruit and biscuits) and additional drink throughout the day.

In the summer we ask that children are provided with sun cream and a sun hat that are clearly named.
