Trip to Moors Value Country Park on 16th June 2017

This letter was not sent to the entire school so it may not be relevant for your child

8th June 2017

Dear Parents/Carers

On Friday 16th June, Mr Crossley and Mr Mullett will be taking the children who are not going to Osmington Bay on a trip of their own. They will be going to Moors Valley Country Park, Verwood where they will do outdoor activities including the play trail, the Gruffalo trail and take a ride on the miniature train. Please note they will not be going on the Go Ape trail or using a Segway!

We will be travelling to Moors Valley Country Park by minibus, driven by Mr Mullett. To get the maximum amount of time there to enjoy all the activities, we will be leaving school at 8.30am, therefore your child will need to be in school at 8.15am. We will return by the end of the school day at 3.15pm.

Please can you provide your child with a packed lunch and a drink in a throwaway bag? If your child is entitled to a free school dinner then this will be provided by the school. School uniform is not required, a sweatshirt/fleece, t-shirt and trousers/tracksuit bottoms is suitable clothing to wear and sturdy footwear is essential (no wellies!). As the weather is unpredictable please could you ensure that your child brings a coat and sunscreen with them to cover all weathers!

There will be no cost to parents for this trip although we are asking for £2.00 for your child to buy an ice-cream from the shop.

Please complete the permission slip below and return it to the school office along with the £2.00.

Yours sincerely

Andrew Crossley

PE & Outdoors Coordinator
