Year 6

Crestwood School are holding a coffee morning for all parents of our Year 6 children who are going up to Crestwood for Year 7 in September 2018. The coffee morning is being held at Shakespeare Campus on Thursday 22nd March at 9.30am – 10.20am. Please contact Crestwood School if you require any more information.

Hate Crime

It has been brought to our attention that a local Muslim family has recently received a hate letter, part of a horrible and illegal campaign originating in the North East of the country. If you or anyone you know has received this type of offensive letter then please report it to the Police immediately. Alison Heydari, Southampton Police Commander has said, ‘There can never be any excuse for hate crime in any shape or form and this criminality will not be tolerated. If you or someone you know has received this letter, please call us on 101 and report it’.

Crossing Patrol

Please set an example to younger children by crossing with Chris our Crossing Patrol lady if you need to cross the road to Cherbourg Little Stars pre-school. We appreciate it might be quicker to cross outside the YR gate, but it is important for children to value the role of our crossing patrol in helping everyone to cross the road safely.

Year R & Year 6 Height and Weight Measurements

Just a reminder of the content of the text sent last Tuesday. A permission form for parents to sign for Vision & Hearing tests was sent home recently, this was sent in error by the School Nursing Team. The school nurses are actually coming in to measure Height and Weight not Vision and Hearing for children in Year R and Year 6 and there is no permission form to sign. However, if you do not want your child to be measured please let the school office know preferably in writing and we will inform the School Nursing team.

Parents' Evenings

Parents’ Evenings are being held on Monday 26th March from 3.30pm until 5.45pm and on Tuesday 27th March from 3.30pm until 7.00pm. Appointment sign up sheets will go up outside your child’s classroom room today for parents to sign up to see their child’s class teacher.

School Reports

Your child’s school report has gone home today. Whilst we try to make sure that all parents receive a copy of the report, if you are a parent who doesn’t have the opportunity to see your child regularly, and you haven’t received your own copy, please get in touch with us.
