Hampshire in the ‘Hall

Our amazing choir of nineteen Y5 and Y6s joined 1700 other children in the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 23rd April for ‘Hampshire in the Hall’; a celebration of Hampshire school children’s talents in music.

Our choir was part of a massed choir, singing the world premier of ‘My World’. Our children’s commitment and hard work over the last few weeks meant that they performed fabulously.

We are all so proud of them!

In spite of there being so many children there, several people have commented on how well our children represented our school, with their singing and their behaviour throughout the long day. We didn’t get home until 1.10a.m.!

Mrs Greer and the choir are really grateful to ‘Friends of Music in Winchester’, a local charity who provided the funding to enable the children to travel to London, after joining the choir for one of their rehearsals. It made a big difference.

It was an experience that will stay with the children for ever.
