End of Spring Term

7th April 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

As some of you are aware, today is Natalie Gammer’s last day and we will be really sorry to see her leave. She returned to Cherbourg as a teacher in 2013 and has been a lovely teacher for Santa Maria for nearly two years. I know the children will miss her. Mrs Gammer is leaving to become a Key Stage leader at Curdridge Primary School

It is also a last day of another kind, as Mr Edgeller steps down from his role as Assistant Headteacher. He has been such a wonderful support to me and the school in leading Maths and supporting all our developments over many years. I am so pleased he is staying with us to spend more time being the excellent teacher he is.

One more update; Mrs Boukari will be returning to school to take RBr class for the summer term. Mrs Boukari is a well-loved early years’ teacher and it will be great to have her back in class. A big thank you to Laura Brown for all the work she has done whilst she has been with us.

It was lovely to see so many of you at Parents Evenings. Thank you for all the positive comments for the new style reports. If you didn’t manage to make an appointment, please catch up with your child’s teacher after the holidays. Thank you to parents of Year R and Year 2 who came to join in with the assembly today. Unfortunately I couldn’t be there, but I have a great video of the performance to watch.

Have a lovely Easter. Bugs Club is open for 4 days during the holiday on the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st April.

Yours sincerely,

Julie Greer

Headteacher
