1 Challenger

Welcome to Challenger Class

Read more about how we became Challenger class

After much careful research, we decided as a class to name ourselves after the HMS Challenger, named in 1872 which was captained by George Nares. The Challenger Expedition took place between 1872 and 1876. The expedition was organised to make new scientific discoveries about the sea and it was the first ship with its own laboratories, microscopes and other scientific equipment on board.

All of us in Challenger class feel that making new discoveries and learning about the world in exciting ways is important in our education. We love science and taking part in practical experiments to test our predictions and question our ideas! We are also always ready to take on new challenges!
