Are you a creative teacher, experienced in facilitating high quality learning with Key Stage 1 pupils and committed to including the needs of all children in your class? If so, we would welcome your application to join our team from September 2018. You will need to be a qualified teacher who has a real skill for planning and designing tasks which capture children's imaginations, whilst ensuring that all children in the class can engage with the learning and make progress in their skills and understanding, seeking opportunities for children to work at greater depth where possible.
Cherbourg Primary is a lovely school in which to learn and work. Our recent Ofsted noted; 'There is a strong sense of teamwork between leaders, support staff and teachers. They share a passionate commitment to the inclusive ethos of Cherbourg Primary School.' We are looking to appoint teachers who share that ethos and are keen to use or develop their skills to teach pupils with a range of needs and abilities across all subjects. We are proud of our provision for children with social, emotional and mental health needs and all our classes have the resources to manage pupils with high level special educational or additional needs. You will be well supported to develop your skills to meet the needs of the pupils in your class.
Please contact us if you would like to make a time to come and look round or wish to ask any questions.
We will be advertising for a Teaching and Learning Responsibility point internally and externally for which candidates are welcome to be considered. We are also advertising a maternity post, so please indicate clearly on your application if you would like to be considered for both maternity cover and permanent posts.
